‘Census of India 2027’ will be digital: State level training seminar concluded in Bhadohi, self-enumeration process will start from May 7
Bhadohi:- Today, through video conferencing organized under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, a state level training seminar related to house listing and housing census in the first phase of ‘Census of India 2027’ was organized by NIC. It was held in the auditorium. In this important meeting, Chief Census Officer/District Magistrate Shailesh Kumar participated and issued necessary guidelines to the concerned officers for strict compliance of the instructions received by the government.
The District Magistrate clarified that this time the census process will be completely digital and easy. He said that Self-Enumeration: Common Citizens will be able to register themselves on the official portal between May 7 and May 21, 2026. se.census.gov.in Through this you can calculate for yourself and your family. The District Magistrate has appealed to the residents of the district to take advantage of the facility and ensure their participation in this great campaign of nation building.
Use of HLO App: HLO App will be used by enumerators and supervisors engaged in enumeration work. All the data of house listing and housing census will be recorded in real-time through this app. During the meeting, it was informed that for those citizens who will not be able to do the census themselves, enumerators and supervisors will do door-to-door house listing work from May 22 to June 20, 2026.
The District Magistrate while directing the concerned officers said that any kind of laxity in the census work will not be forgivable. He directed to complete the training sessions on time, make the enumerators technically proficient and spread wide public awareness in rural and urban areas so that no house or family is deprived of enumeration. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Bal Govind Shukla, Additional District Magistrate Kunwar Virendra Maurya, District Informatics Officer Abhishek Mishra and concerned officers were present.
