Center received dividend of Rs 930 crore from PFC, HUDCO and NBCC

New Delhi, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). Public sector companies Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Ltd, Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and NBCC (India) Ltd have paid a total of Rs 930 crore as dividend to the central government.

Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) of the Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday that the central government will receive about Rs 462 crore, Rs 398 crore and Rs 398 crore respectively from PFC Ltd, HUDCO and NBCC (India) Ltd as dividend installments. Rs 70 crore has been received.

Power Finance Corporation Limited is a public sector company engaged in infrastructure financing activities. It is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited i.e. HUDCO, a public sector undertaking, is engaged in housing finance and infrastructure project finance. It has got the status of Navratna. Furthermore, NBCC (India) Limited is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. It was earlier known as National Building Construction Corporation.
