Dearness Allowance Increase News: There is news of big relief for about 1.19 crore central employees and pensioners of the country. On Saturday, April 18, the Central Government Cabinet approved a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). After this decision, dearness allowance has increased from 58% to 60%, which will be applicable on the basic salary of the employees. Pensioners will also get the benefit of dearness relief at the same rate.
The government has considered this increase effective from January 1, 2026.
