Central government’s decision: 1 big good news for the people of Bihar

Patna.A big news has come out for Bihar. The Central Government has approved the last i.e. eighth phase of Patna Ring Road Project. After this decision, the way has now been cleared for the completion of this ambitious plan which was stuck for a long time.

Two decade old plan now nearing completion

The proposal for Patna Ring Road was prepared around 2005. Its objective was to reduce the increasing traffic pressure in the capital Patna and to connect the surrounding districts with better road facilities. The process and pace of work remained slow for many years, but now the project has reached the final stage.

The entire road is being built in eight parts

This entire project is divided into eight parts. Construction work on most parts has already been completed or is in the final stages. Now only the approval of the last part was left, which has been given by the Central Government. After this, construction work is likely to start soon.

Important road section will be built in the last phase

The last part of the project will be built from Dighwara to Sarai, whose length will be about 30 kilometers. This area connects Vaishali and Saran districts. It is estimated that around Rs 1500 crore will be spent on this part, in which the state government will also be involved in land acquisition.

Ring road network will be 150 kilometers long

The entire ring road will be approximately 150 kilometers long and its total cost is estimated to be around Rs 16 thousand crore. This road will connect many major areas of Patna like Kanhauli, Kachchi Dargah, Bidupur, Sarai and Dighwara.

Relief in Patna’s traffic problem

After the construction of this project, the movement of heavy vehicles inside the city will reduce. This will reduce the jam on the main roads of Patna to a great extent. People will take less time to travel and the traffic system will become more smooth. This ring road will prove to be very important not only for Patna but also for districts like Vaishali and Saran.
