Central government’s gift, health insurance up to Rs 20 lakh for government employees

New Delhi.The government has introduced a new health protection scheme for its employees and their families. The Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance has launched a scheme called Paripur Mediclaim AYUSH Bima, which will provide better medical coverage and treatment facilities to CGHS beneficiaries.

How to get benefit

This policy can be taken from the office or online platform of New India Assurance Company Limited. The company is government owned and controlled by the Finance Ministry. Under this scheme, government employees and their family members can avail cashless treatment in networked hospitals across the country.

Coverage and Features

Maximum 6 members can be included in the policy.

In case of hospitalization, indemnity ranging from ₹ 10 lakh to ₹ 20 lakh will be available.

Room rent limit: 1% in normal room, 2% in ICU.

Includes 30 days of pre-hospitalization and 60 days of post-hospitalization coverage.

There will be 100% coverage in in-patient care for AYUSH treatment.

The coverage for advanced treatment can be increased from 25% to 100% through optional riders.

Co-payment options and premium benefits

The policy has the facility to choose 70:30 or 50:50 co-payment option.

Flexibility on premium, and no GST, keeping expenses down.

28% discount will be available on 70:30 co-payment and 42% discount on 50:50 co-payment.

If no claim is made in a year, a 10% cumulative bonus will be given, capped at 100% of the sum insured.
