CEO of Github praised India, this is how it became 'Kingraj' in AI
New Delhi: The field of Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI, is growing rapidly. Many countries around the world are working on Artificial Intelligence. Recently, a report by GitHub revealed that India ranks second in terms of Generative Artificial Intelligence. GitHub reported that the number of Indian developers on the platform has increased by 28 percent and will cross the 17 million mark by 2024.
Indian developers are continuously working on the development of artificial intelligence, which has also helped the country to be among the top ten fastest growing developer communities in the world. GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke shared a list of the top 10 countries in AI on his X account (Twitter).
The list includes countries like United States of America (US) at number 1, India at number 2, Hong Kong at number 3, China at number 4 and Germany at number 5. It is clear from this graph that India is also a leader in productive AI. Projects is a global leader and one of the top 10.

Indian developers and companies
The GitHub Octoverse 2024 report found that Indian developers and companies are prioritizing testing results in 2024 compared to 2023. India currently ranks second in terms of development of Generative Artificial Intelligence, but according to GitHub estimates, India may overtake the US by 2028. If this happens, India will become the largest developer community in the world.
Although India is in second place. This makes it clear that developers in India are putting all their efforts into artificial intelligence. These developer efforts are shaping the future of software and having a direct impact on innovation around the world.
