CEO of PVNL paid courtesy call on Chief Minister Hemant Soren, expressed gratitude for the support received from the government in starting commercial power production from a unit of 800 MW.

Ranchi: On Saturday, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Patratu Vidyut Nigam Limited (PVNL) Ashok Kumar Sehgal, Human Resource Head Z Rehman, Senior Manager Pankaj Kumar Singh and DGM J. Mahapatra paid a courtesy visit. On this occasion, he told the Chief Minister that commercial production of electricity has started from a unit with a capacity of 800 MW of PVNL from November 5, 2025. He thanked the Chief Minister for the commissioning of this unit.

He said that the result of the cooperation received by the Chief Minister at every level is that the commercial production of electricity from this unit could start on time. At the same time, with the commissioning of this unit, Jharkhand has now become self-sufficient in electricity. He also invited the Chief Minister to visit Patratu Vidyut Nigam Limited. The Chief Minister said that the energy sector is the priority of the government. In this direction, concrete steps are being taken to modernize and strengthen the power infrastructure. The Chief Minister asked PVVNL to also take concrete initiatives for skill development of the youth.
