Chad Michael Murray on working with Lindsay Lohan in 'Freakier Friday'

Washington: Actor and writer Chad Michael Murray is considering reuniting with his Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan for the highly anticipated sequel to the hit film. Murray said of the project as reported by People, “It It was awesome. It was just a nostalgia kick.” Speaking at Christmas Con 2024 in Edison, New Jersey, he said, “It felt like a high school reunion, you You know? It felt like no time had passed, and yet there was a whole life between us.”

Murray said that “It's been 23 years since we first worked on set.” He said that keeping track of the plot, which involves body swapping between family members, can sometimes be confusing. “There were moments when I was sitting there thinking, 'Okay, who's who? Is?' … I was really focused. I had to do my homework – a lot – and I still got it wrong,” he admitted. “But it was awesome. It was a lot of fun.”

The sequel, Freakier Friday, will see Murray reprising his role as Jake from the original film, while Lohan, 38, will return as Anna Coleman. According to the outlet, Jamie Lee Curtis will once again play her mother, Tess Coleman. Other returning cast members include Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao. The sequel stars Julia Butters, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons, reports People.
