Chahal, Parag, Tewatia will play in Shani Trophy in Lucknow

Lucknow Lucknow: Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, batsman Riyan Parag and all-rounder Rahul Tewatia are among the prominent players playing in the upcoming Shani Trophy. The tournament will be played in Lucknow in February this year. The tournament will feature an exciting mix of retired legends, current Ranji Trophy players and state-level cricketers, bringing together the best talent of Indian cricket under one roof, a release said. .

The Shani Trophy will feature 10 competing teams, who will face each other in a unique 25-over format. There will be two matches each day, one scheduled for the morning and the other for the afternoon/evening session, ensuring non-stop action for the fans. Adding to the prestige of the event, former Indian cricketer and former BCCI selector Chetan Sharma Shani has been announced as the brand ambassador of the trophy.

Talking about the tournament, Sumit Shukla, Chairman, Shani Trophy and Managing Director, Divya Future Sports, said that they are looking forward to bringing this unique format to life in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and Cricket Association of Lucknow (CAL). “With the support of UPCA and CAL and the participation of some of the best cricketers, we aim to provide an unforgettable cricket experience for the fans,” he said, according to the release. It is being jointly conducted by UPCA and CAL in association with Divya Future Sports.
