Chahat Khanna said that her ex-husband Farhan Mirza had forced her to convert to Islam.
Television actress Chahatt Khanna has recently made a revelation about her life which has shocked many people. Chahat, who is separated from her husband Farhan Mirza, alleged that her husband forced her to convert to Islam and today she is happy that she has returned to her roots. In an interview with Tele Talk India, Chahat was asked about being forced to convert to religion by her ex-husband Farhan. She accepted and said, “Yeah, in a way, yes, I would say that. But I don't know whether for their good or my good, but that's why I said, thankfully I'm back home.”
In the same interview, she revealed how Farhan asked her to worship his God and imposed many restrictions on her, “Many people did not want me to convert but I did because I wanted to get married. It's not that I was forced to convert but I did. After that, I was told 'don't worship your God, maybe that's not the right way, this is the right way' and I went on that path, being a lost child. I think it was okay; It wasn't that bad. But again, I'm happy, I'm in a much happier place, I have more wisdom than before, I know what I'm doing. I know what is right and what is not, and I live a very conscious life”. Before marrying Farhan Mirza, Chahat was married to businessman Bharat Narsinghania in 2006 and divorced him the same year, accusing him and his family of mental and physical abuse.
