Chaitra Navratri 2026 Kalash Sthapana Muhurta
According to Hindu calendar, Chaitra Navratri is starting from 19 March 2026. Navratri starts from the Pratipada date of Chaitra Shukla Paksha. On March 19, Chaitra Navratri, the auspicious time for setting up the Kalash will start from 6:52 am in the morning and will last till 07:53 am. Those who cannot establish Kalash in this Muhurta can establish Ghat in Abhijeet Muhurta. On March 19, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 12:05 pm to 12:53 pm.
Kalash installation puja method
On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, Maa Durga is worshiped with rituals along with the establishment of Kalash. First of all, take a bath in the morning and take a resolution to worship and while cleaning the temple of the house, spread a yellow or red cloth on the stool in front of it. Then after this, take soil in a vessel and sow barley. Then fill a copper or earthen pot with water and put rice, betel nuts etc. in it. Tie mango leaves in the mouth of the Kalash and place a coconut tied in a red cloth over it. Then worship Goddess Durga with proper rituals. According to religious beliefs, installing the Kalash brings happiness, prosperity and peace in the house.
