The second day of Chaitra Navratri holds special significance for the devotees. On this day, Maa Brahmacharini, the second form of Maa Durga, is worshiped, who is considered the goddess of penance, restraint and meditation. It is believed that by worshiping him with true heart, a person gets patience, knowledge and right direction in life. This day is considered very auspicious especially for students, because mother’s blessings help in increasing concentration and intelligence.
Mother Brahmacharini’s form is very simple and calm. He has a rosary in one hand and a kamandal in the other. Both these things are symbols of meditation, penance and self-control. The name ‘Brahmacharini’ means one who follows penance. According to religious beliefs, this form of mother teaches us that hard work, patience and discipline are very important to achieve success in life.
Auspicious time of puja and special yoga
Some special yogas are being formed for worship on this day, which are considered very auspicious. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will remain throughout the day, which increases the chances of getting success in doing any auspicious work. Apart from this, Amrit Siddhi Yoga will start from 6.25 am in the morning and will continue till the next morning. In both these yogas, special results are obtained by worshiping the mother.

While worshiping, take special care of white color, because it is dear to the mother. Offer them white flowers, Akshat, Roli and sandalwood. After this, anoint the mother with Panchamrit (which includes milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar). Offering white clothes to the mother during puja is also considered auspicious. It is considered good to offer dry fruits, betel nuts, betel nuts, cloves and cardamom in the offering. After the puja is over, charity or dakshina should be given as per one’s devotion.

“Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu Brahmacharini Rupena Sansthita.
Namastesyaye Namastesyaye Namastesyaye Namo Namah.”
Chanting it 108 times is considered beneficial. It is said that by chanting this mantra, wishes are fulfilled and positive changes come in life.
