India is the most successful team in Champions Trophy history. The joint winner of 2002 and the winner of 2013, the Indian team has played a total of 29 matches in the event, out of which it has won 18 matches. India played the final of the Champions Trophy 2000 in which it had to face defeat at the hands of New Zealand.
