The International Cricket Council on Wednesday released the long-awaited schedule for the Champions Trophy 2025. This happened after long negotiations between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board. The event was delayed because the BCCI refused to send Team India to Pakistan, and the PCB opposed the idea of hosting it in a hybrid format.
Agreement on India vs Pakistan matches
Both the boards finally agreed that all India vs Pakistan matches in ICC events will be played at neutral venues till 2027. The agreement opened the way for Dubai to be selected as one of the neutral venues for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as part of the hybrid model.
Ticket Sales and Registration Process
Even though ticket sales for the event have not started yet, ICC has released a registration portal for fans to get the fastest updates on ticket availability. Fans can register by clicking on the link, filling in their details including name, email, contact number, date of birth, country of residence and favorite team and then agreeing to the terms and conditions. Once registered, they will get timely updates about ticket sales.
Tournament venues and India's schedule
The Champions Trophy 2025 will start on February 19, with the match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The much-awaited India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to take place on 23rd February at the Dubai International Stadium. The semi-finals will be played on 4 and 5 March and the final on 9 March.
League Match and Final Ticket Sales
Ticket registration for the league matches is already available, while for the final match, fans will have to wait for India's performance in the tournament. If India reaches the final then that match will be played in Dubai, if it does not reach the final then it will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
