Chances of rain in the coastal region of Tamil Nadu, know how the weather will be in North-West India for the next few days.
New Delhi : According to Naresh Kumar, senior scientist of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature in north-west India will remain normal for the next few days. Kumar told the media agency on Sunday, November 24, “The temperature in north-west India is normal for the next few days. The fog has reduced considerably.” Kumar said that due to the influence of western disturbance last week, the wind direction changed and the temperature in north-west India has come close to normal. Yesterday also there was a Western Disturbance, which caused light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir.
A Western Disturbance, an extratropical storm originating in the Mediterranean region, brings sudden winter rain to northwestern parts of the Indian subcontinent. He said that after three to four days, the temperature is expected to drop slightly in north-west India. Naresh Kumar said that a pronounced low pressure area has formed in the south-east of the Bay of Bengal, which will cause heavy rains on the coasts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
There may be rain in the coastal area of Tamil Nadu
Naresh Kumar further informed that a distinct low pressure area has formed in the south-east of the Bay of Bengal. It is expected to intensify into a depression in the next 24 hours. It will move westwards towards Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. Therefore we expect heavy rainfall of more than 12 cm over coastal Tamil Nadu and heavy rainfall at isolated places over coastal Andhra also after 26th and 27th of this month.
