In Delhi-NCR, people have started feeling the heat like March and April in the month of February itself. Due to clear sky and bright sunshine for the last few days, the temperature has remained above normal. However, according to the information of Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites are going to get relief from this scorching sun soon. Due to the impact of an active western disturbance, the weather in the capital and surrounding areas is ready to take a turn.

According to the current data, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR between February 16 and February 21 is expected to be around 28 to 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 13 to 14 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded 4 degrees above normal i.e. 28.5 degrees Celsius.

It is a matter of relief that the wind speed has increased during the last 24 hours. At present, due to cold winds blowing at a speed of 19 kilometers per hour, despite the bright sunshine during the day, a slight shiver is being felt. The night temperature still remains below 15 degrees Celsius, due to which the cold in the morning and evening persists.

Change in weather on 17 and 18 February

According to the Meteorological Department and Skymet Weather, there will be a big change in the weather of Delhi-NCR on 17 and 18 February. Movement of clouds will start in the sky on 17th February. The maximum temperature can go up to 29 degrees Celsius. At the same time, there is a strong possibility of light rain or drizzle in various parts of Delhi and NCR on February 18.

After the rain, there will be a slight drop of 1 to 2 degrees in the maximum temperature, due to which it will again come to the level of 28 degrees Celsius. However, experts believe that this decline will be short-lived and the mercury will start rising again from February 19.

How will be the weather condition in UP?

Along with Delhi, the effect of western disturbance will also be visible in other states of North India. Agra and Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh may see light rain and strong winds at a speed of 30-40 km/hour on 17-18 February.

There will be bright sunshine in Rajasthan

At the same time, the weather is expected to change in Jaipur and Bikaner divisions of Rajasthan from February 17. The weather is expected to remain dry and there will be strong sunshine on Monday also. On Sunday, apart from Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Phalodi, the maximum day temperature in other districts including Eastern Rajasthan was recorded above 30 degrees Celsius.

Cold is negligible in Jharkhand

Jharkhand will see an increase of 3-4 degrees in minimum temperature today. Because till 24 hours ago the minimum temperature was expected to be between 9 to 10 degrees, but today it has increased to between 12-13 degrees. In southern districts like Jamshedpur, Seraikela, Kharsawan, a minimum temperature of 15 degrees can be recorded. That means the cold here is negligible at night.

Weather will change in Bihar also

The weather is continuously changing in Bihar and changes can be seen in many parts of the state on 16th February also. Generally, rainfall is expected to be less during February, but at some places fog and cold winds can trouble people in the morning and evening. There is a possibility of light fog and cold wind in Patna and surrounding areas.

The weather will be like this in the mountains

An alert of snowfall and rain has been issued in the hilly states, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which will have a direct impact on the winds in the plains.

Impact on health and pollution

The Meteorological Department has advised people to take special care of their health during this changing season, because diseases like cold and cough can increase due to fluctuations in temperature and rain. At the same time, due to rain, Delhi’s air quality (AQI) is also expected to improve, which currently remains in the poor category.
