Chaos in Tehran…Iran Foreign Minister called Jaishankar, these issues were discussed

Delhi. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke over phone with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday evening. While giving brief information on social media, Dr. Jaishankar said that Araghchi had called him. It is believed that both the leaders discussed the current situation in Iran. This conversation took place at a time when tensions are high in Iran due to internal unrest and protests.

It is noteworthy that the Central Government has issued a fresh advisory advising Indian citizens not to travel to Iran until further notice. Along with this, Indian students, pilgrims and tourists living in Iran have been urged to leave the country. The government has taken this step citing the rapidly changing security situation amid increasing regional tensions and widespread protests. This advisory has been issued after the earlier warning issued on January 5.

“In view of the changing situation in Iran, Indian nationals living there are advised to leave Iran through available means of transport,” the embassy said in a statement. These Indians have been asked to keep all their documents ready during the journey and they can also take help from the Embassy in this regard. This advisory has been issued at a time when internal unrest is increasing in Iran.

The death toll from government actions against protesters has risen sharply in recent weeks, according to human rights organizations and media reports, raising concerns about security and stability. Indian officials said they were closely monitoring the situation.

India has been issuing travel advisories for the region from time to time, but the latest warning reflects its growing concern over the deteriorating security environment and the risks faced by foreign nationals.
