Chaos of nature: The ground shook as if there was a flood, know the whole story of Ladakh earthquake.

News India Live, Digital Desk: While you and I were probably enjoying our morning tea, this beautiful part of India was trembling with the tremors of a powerful earthquake of 5.7 magnitude. The feeling of earth shaking was so strong that people came out of their homes and shops onto the streets out of fear. When and where did the earthquake occur? According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), this tremor was felt at around 11:26 in the morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was far below the ground near Leh-Ladakh. An earthquake of 5.7 magnitude is not a small one. Often such strong tremors cause cracks in walls or old buildings collapse. The risk of landslides increases especially in hilly areas. A matter of relief: No damage. Call it God’s miracle or the luck of the people there, despite such a strong shock, there is no news of any loss of life or property so far. Neither any house collapsed nor anyone was injured. Nevertheless, as a precaution, the local administration has issued an alert. Police and disaster management teams are ready. Because many times after a big earthquake, small aftershocks keep coming, which can cause damage. What should we learn? Ladakh and the entire Himalayan region is anyway a very sensitive zone in terms of earthquakes. This incident is a reminder of how helpless we are in front of nature.
