Charles Melton gets support from ‘Deli Boys’ cast after first Emmy nomination
Deli Boys stars Asif Ali, and Sagar Shaikh showed their support for Beef star Charles Melton who marked a major career milestone on July 8, earning his first Emmy nomination.
The 35-year-old star got nominated in the best supporting actor in a limited series category for his remarkable role in the second season of Netflix’s Beef.
The actor who played Austin Davis on the recent season of the hit dark comedy, psychological anthology series, took to Instagram on July 8, to share his excitement with his fans.
“I’m still in shock,” he admitted. “Thank you to the Television Academy for this nomination, as well as their recognition of so many in our BEEF family.”
Continuing, “and I just got my daughter down for her bedtime in 8 minutes. It’s a great day.”
Asif Ali, who stars as Mir Dar on Deli Boysshowed his support by commenting, “H*ll yeah!!!”
Saagar Shaikh, who took on the role of Mir’s younger brother Raj Dar on the fan favourite comedy, also penned, “Yesssssss!!!” in the comment section.
Fans also congratulated the Riverdale alum, with one saying, “Man, you soooo deserve the award! Such a brilliant performance.”
