‘Chased a minor girl and..’; Police information that Rohit Chandel accepted the charge in the court, a new twist in the POCSO case

Rohit Chandel POCSO Case: TV actor Rohit Chandel, known for his roles in serials like ‘Pandya Store’ and “Kashibai Bajirao Ballal”, has been arrested for stalking, repeatedly calling, harassing and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl. The actor has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The case is currently under investigation. Meanwhile, Ghatkopar police confirmed. That Rohit Chandel has confessed to stalking a minor girl and has been produced in court and is currently in judicial custody.

Rohit Chandel was arrested on Friday, July 10. Based on the complaint, the police interrogated him. The actor is accused of repeatedly calling the girl from his own phone number and from other numbers. On July 5, he stopped her near her building and argued with her, after which he abused her and assaulted her. The police have booked him under Sections 78, 115(2), 352 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

“He was arrested and produced before the court. The court sent him to jail. He was stalking the girl. He is currently in judicial custody. He admitted that he used to visit her. The girl is a minor. They were co-stars. He was putting pressure on her,” the girl said. He lives in Dahisar and He kept calling her even after she blocked him.”

Rohit started his acting career with small roles in serials like ‘Har Mushkil Ka Haal Akbar Birbal’, ‘Yam Hain Hum’ and ‘Tamanna’. He then appeared in serials like ‘Yeh Un Dinos Ki Baat Hai’, ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ and ‘Shakti – Astiva Ke Ehsaas Ki’. He got real recognition by playing the role of Bajirao in ‘Kashibai Bajirao Ballal’. He then appeared in the long-running family series ‘Pandya Store’ as Dhaval Makwana. Rohit Chandel recently bagged the lead role in the romantic serial ‘Sairab’. It is being said that the actor will be replaced from the series.
