Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the people of the state that before appointing any person for household or business related work, they must check his complete identity and background. This appeal has been made at a time when the state government is accelerating a major campaign against Rohingya and alleged illegal infiltrators from Bangladesh.

While posting on X, CM Yogi said that security, social harmony and strong law and order are the top priorities of the government. He said that many decisive steps have been taken by the administration against people living illegally, and this process will continue in future also. He appealed to the citizens to be alert and verify the correct identity of anyone before giving them a job.

Security is the foundation of prosperity

While cautioning the public, the Chief Minister said that the security of the state is not only the responsibility of the government, but is the shared responsibility of every person in the society. He also added that security is the foundation of prosperity, hence every citizen should remain alert and report suspicious activities to the administration immediately.

CM Yogi emphasized that it is very important to protect the social structure and community balance of Uttar Pradesh. He assured that action against illegal infiltrators will continue at a vigorous pace and any kind of anti-social activity will not be tolerated.

Special operation against illegal immigrants in VaranasiNo

Meanwhile, the Varanasi Police Commissionerate has started a week-long special verification drive against Bangladeshi, Rohingya and other illegal immigrants living in the district. According to officials, this campaign started from Saturday and its objective is to identify people living illegally in the district and take legal action against them.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Kashi region, Gaurav Banswal said that police teams have been deployed in areas where temporary settlements, slums or people setting up shops on footpaths live. These teams have been entrusted with the responsibility of identifying people living without valid documents and recording their information.

Preparation for intensive investigation and strict action

DCP Banswal said that during this seven-day verification campaign, the police is doing a meticulous inspection of huts, roadside carts and temporary shelters. If illegal immigrants are confirmed, strict and effective legal steps will be taken against them.

Police station in-charges have formed special teams in every police station area of ​​Varanasi. Gomti Zone Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vaibhav Bangar supervised the intensive checking operation in Koirajpur area, where the teams thoroughly checked the identity, background and documents of the people.

Officials said that the photograph, personal information and other necessary details of each person found during verification are being recorded in the prescribed form. This will make further legal process and monitoring easier.

Other units including Baragaon police station area of ​​Gomti area have also implemented this campaign with full seriousness. This campaign is being run in a planned manner in all the police station areas of Varanasi Police Commissionerate so that no illegal migrant is allowed to be ignored.
