India's golden performance in Chess Olympiad 2024, D Gukesh created history by winning the gold medal

Sports Desk, Obnews: Indian chess player D Gukesh has created history in the Chess Olympiad 2024. He performed brilliantly in the final match and won the gold medal for India. In the 45th Olympiad game, D Gukesh has now increased the prestige of India all over the world. For the first time in the history of 97 years, India has won gold in the open section.

In the 10th round of the 45th Chess Olympiad, Indian players defeated America 2.5-1.5 and won the gold medal. D Gukesh defeated Fabiano Caruana. In the competition held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, Grandmaster and World Championship Challenger D Gukesh defeated Fabiano Caruana and created history by winning the gold for the first time in the men's category.

D Gukesh has also been congratulated by Grandmaster Praveen and Praggnanandhaa's coach RB Ramesh. Women's team beats China

The players of the Indian women's team took their caravan forward by defeating China 2.5-1.5 in the 10th round. Earlier, India's match with America was a draw. However, now after defeating China, the morale of the Indian women players is high. The team has made a great comeback. So far, only Divya Deshmukh has won in the Indian women's team, while Vantik Agarwal, Vaishali and Harika drew the match.
