How to perform Chhath Puja?

Chhath Puja is a 4-day festival in which in the evening of Shashthi Tithi, Arghya is offered to the Sun God on the banks of Ganga-Yamuna or any holy river or pond. During Arghya, seasonal fruits, sweets and prasad along with thekua, sugarcane, bananas, coconut, sour lemon and rice laddus are kept in bamboo baskets on the river bank. After this, all the fruits are covered with a yellow cloth and holding the lamp in hand, the basket is dipped thrice and Arghya is offered to Lord Sun. In this great festival, only things related to nature are offered and cleanliness is also taken full care of.
