513 new 4G towers will boost education, health and financial inclusion: Chief Minister Sai

Chhattisgarh News: Under the Digital India Fund, the Central Government has approved the installation of 513 new 4G mobile towers through BSNL in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai welcomed this decision and described it as an important result of joint efforts for peace, security and development in Naxal-affected and remote areas. Chief Minister Sai said that this decision is a strong link in the ongoing effective efforts towards eradication of Naxalism. Development and expansion of digital connectivity is now being ensured in areas where stability has been established due to continuous action of security forces and administrative coordination.

The Chief Minister said that with the installation of these 4G mobile towers, people living in remote and inaccessible areas will get accessible and reliable mobile and internet services for the first time. This will strengthen facilities for education, health, employment, administrative services and emergency communication. He said that this expansion of digital connectivity will also prove to be a milestone in the direction of financial inclusion. With the strengthening of mobile network, access to banking services, DBT, UPI, insurance, pension and other digital services will be easily ensured to the common citizens.

Chief Minister Sai said that this initiative realizes the basic objective of “Digital India”, in which lies the resolve to take development to the last mile. This will provide new opportunities to the local youth through digital mediums and will give impetus to the regional economy. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is giving priority to development along with security for the Naxal affected states. In accordance with this vision, the Government of Chhattisgarh, along with the Centre, is committed to connect every citizen of the state with the mainstream of development. On behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and said that this decision is a historic step towards making Chhattisgarh digitally empowered, secure and inclusive.
