Chhattisgarh: Historic achievement in PMAY-G, CM Sai released the coffee table book – Keep an eye on every movement of the media world.
Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA), 10,000 livelihood construction works were also inaugurated.
Chhattisgarh News: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today unveiled an attractive coffee table book on the occasion of completion of two years of the decision to approve 18 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in his first Council of Ministers meeting in his office room in the Assembly. This book effectively presents the historical progress, innovations and achievements achieved under the Rural Housing Scheme in the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), against the target of 26.27 lakh houses received by the state, till now 24.37 lakh houses have been approved, while the construction of 17.14 lakh houses has been completed. It is especially noteworthy that the present government has set a new record in the field of rural housing construction in the state by completing the construction of about 8 lakh houses in its short tenure of just two years.

On the same occasion, Chief Minister Sai also launched 10,000 Aajeevika Dabri construction works under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA). The target has been set to complete these bridges by May 2026. Under MNREGA, these dabris will be constructed on private lands of eligible beneficiaries, including beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). This will not only boost rural employment generation but will also ensure sustainable growth in the livelihood and income of farmers and rural families. During the program, acceptance letters of Aajeevika Dabri were also given to the beneficiaries of Janman Awas Yojana of Kawardha district and the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) under the special project run for surrendered Naxalites and families affected by Naxal violence in Narayanpur district, which is an important step towards social rehabilitation and connecting them to the mainstream. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Principal Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department Niharika Barik Singh, Director of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Commissioner of Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Taran Prakash Sinha and Secretary of Panchayat and Rural Development Department Bhim Singh and senior departmental officials were present.
