Big gift to Chhattisgarh employees, MoU with SBI, insurance cover up to Rs 1.60 crore without premium – Keep an eye on every movement of media world.

Chhattisgarh News: Chhattisgarh government has taken a big step towards providing social and economic security to the regular government employees of the state. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the State Government and State Bank of India (SBI) regarding State Government Salary Package. Under this MOU, employees having salary accounts in SBI will get insurance cover worth crores of rupees completely free of cost.

According to the MOU, employees will be given personal accident insurance of Rs 1 crore, air accident insurance of Rs 1 crore 60 lakh, permanent total disability insurance of Rs 1 crore, partial disability insurance of Rs 80 lakh and group life insurance of Rs 10 lakh. The special thing is that employees will not have to pay any additional premium for all these insurance facilities. Apart from this, there will also be an additional benefit of Rs 10 lakh on the insurance cover of Rs 1 crore on SBI Rupay card. Facilities like health insurance top-up will be provided at concessional rates.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the state government is continuously taking concrete decisions for the safety and welfare of the employees. This MoU with SBI will prove to be a strong security blanket for the employees and their families.

Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that this agreement is an important initiative towards protecting the employees from financial risks. Providing such comprehensive insurance facilities without any extra expense reflects the employee-friendly policy of the state government.

This MoU was concluded on 22 December 2025 in the presence of Finance Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh. This agreement will not only provide better banking facilities to the regular employees of the state, but will also ensure huge financial relief to them and their families in case of accident or emergency.
