Chhattisgarh: IED blast on Kanker-Narayanpur border, 3 DRG soldiers martyred, one injured
A big news has come out from Chhattisgarh where a major accident took place during anti-Naxal operation on the border of Kanker and Narayanpur districts. An IED blast took place on the border of both the districts on Saturday afternoon. In this accident, three DRG soldiers were martyred and one was seriously injured. This has been confirmed by Bastar Police Inspector General P Sundarraj.
Let us tell you that this entire matter is of Chhotabethiya police station area. This accident happened while neutralizing the IED laid by Naxalites. The explosion was so loud that it was heard far away and the soldiers present did not even get a chance to recover. As soon as the information was received, the regional police team reached the spot. After the incident, the soldiers have intensified intensive search operation in the entire area.

Bastar IG P. Sundarraj said that on the basis of information received from Naxalite cadres who have surrendered in the last few months and other intelligence inputs, the security forces have successfully recovered and defused hundreds of IEDs already hidden by the Naxalites in Bastar region.
IG Sundarraj said that as part of this operation today, the police team was neutralizing an IED in Kanker district when suddenly it exploded. In this accident, three soldiers were martyred on the spot, while another soldier was seriously injured. According to officials, detailed information is being collected regarding the incident and investigation into the entire matter is going on.
