Chhattisgarh News: Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister and Commissioner of Public Relations Department, Dr. Ravi Mittal said that Public Relations Officers should make proper use of all the mediums of media to make their work effective. He said that if officials prepare exclusive and public interest stories and publicize them widely in print, electronic, digital and social media, the impact of public relations can increase manifold.

Stories published at national and state level will get respect
Commissioner Dr. Mittal said that the public relations officers whose stories will be published in state and national level media will be honored as an incentive. This will inspire officers to do better and creative work.
He said that today the methods of public relations are changing rapidly. With the use of new technology and AI tools, more and better work can be done with less effort.
Increasing importance of digital and social media
Dr. Mittal said that now it is not enough to be limited to print media only. Proper use of electronic media, digital platforms and social media is necessary, so that the plans and decisions of the government reach the public on time.
He advised the officers to be constantly updated with new technologies and also stressed on giving internship opportunity to the journalism students in the Public Relations Department.
Clear and timely communication is most important
In the inaugural session, Additional Director Mr. Jawaharlal Dario, Mr. Sanjeev Tiwari, Mr. Umesh Mishra and Mr. Alok Dev said that clear, simple and timely communication is most important for public service. He said that the objective of the workshop is to make public relations officers more modern, sensitive and effective.
Tricks to make government news interesting
First session of the first day of the workshop reader-friendly writing Happened on the topic. Editor of Dainik Bhaskar Shri Shiv Dubey told how to identify the main thing related to the general public from government orders and information.
He elaborated on simple language, effective headlines, strong lead paragraphs, correct citations and structure of press releases.
Understanding TV and Visual Story
In the second session, Shri Vikalp Shukla, News Editor of All India Radio, explained the working of television media. He explained how to present government schemes as a visual story, how to take concise bytes on camera and why fact sheets are important.
Work will become easier with AI and social media
Social media and AI tools were discussed in the third session. Digital and AI expert Mr. Rakesh Sahu said that photo and video editing has become easier with AI technology, due to which better content can be created in less time.
Emergency Communications and Stakeholder Management
In the last session, retired Director of Public Relations Directorate, Bhopal, Shri Lajpat Ahuja gave information about PR tool box, stakeholder management and communication strategies in times of crisis.
Public relations officers from across the state actively participated in this workshop.
