Chhattisgarh News: Study tour of Panchayat representatives will change the direction of rural development: CM Sai
Chhattisgarh News: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai sent Panchayat representatives of Bastar division to Maharashtra for training cum study tour under the National Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. This team left from the Chief Minister’s residence through buses, which was flagged off by the Chief Minister and sent off with best wishes.
Will benefit from good schemes of other states
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the main objective of this study tour is to make the Panchayat representatives aware of the good and successful practices of other states. This will give a new direction to the development of rural areas of Chhattisgarh and the functioning of Panchayats will be better.
There will be exchange of knowledge, dialogue and experience
The Chief Minister said that this visit is not limited to just training, but will also provide an opportunity for dialogue, discussion, cultural exchange and understanding innovations. Panchayat representatives will gain new experiences to perform their responsibilities in a better way.
Will also share the identity of Chhattisgarh
Chief Minister Shri Sai asked the delegates to also share the identity of Chhattisgarh and Bastar in Maharashtra. This will include information about the state’s tourism potential, rich culture, public welfare schemes, good governance and transparent administration.
Panchayat Raj system will become stronger
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma also congratulated the Panchayat representatives. He said that such study tours help in strengthening the Panchayat Raj system and improve the efficiency of the representatives.
The tour will run from 18th to 23rd January
According to the information, this study tour under the National Gram Swaraj Scheme of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj will run from January 18 to January 23, 2025. In the first phase, 60 Panchayat representatives and nodal officers are involved in this yatra. They will be given direct experience of the better Panchayat systems and successful Panchayats of Maharashtra.
There will be such study tours in future also
The government plans to send district panchayat representatives from all divisions of Chhattisgarh on such study tours in a phased manner, so that the panchayat system can be strengthened in the entire state.

On this occasion, MLA Lata Usendi, MLA Motilal Sahu, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board President Neelu Sharma, Panchayat and Rural Development Department Director Priyanka Mahobia and many senior officials and public representatives were present.
