Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann finalized the 650th Prakash Parv programs
Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann finalized the series of programs dedicated to the 650th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji.
This decision was taken by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during a meeting with Sant Samaj at Punjab Bhawan. The Chief Minister outlined a series of state-level programs and initiatives. These programs include seminars, kirtan gatherings, yatras, plantation drives and planting of ‘Guru Ravidas Gardens’ in 650 acres and the main function in this regard will be held in Khuralgarh.
Resolution to celebrate Prakash Parv on a large scale
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “I consider myself fortunate that I have got the privilege of celebrating the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the 650th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji. The state government will leave no stone unturned in celebrating the 650th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji because it is our collective duty to take the message of Guru Ji to the world.”
He said, “Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji had envisioned an equal society free from all discrimination. The Punjab government will ensure that the upcoming 650th Prakash Purb of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji is celebrated on a grand scale. We had recently organized various programs dedicated to the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.”
Guru Ravidas ji gave the message of humanity and equality
Referring to the preparations for the event, the Punjab Chief Minister shared, “Year-long programs have been planned to celebrate the 650th Prakash Purb of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji in a grand manner. Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji gave the message of goodness of entire humanity and equality of all classes and laid the foundation of an egalitarian society where no one should be unhappy.”
Call for discrimination free society
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Our government is committed to building a society based on the teachings and principles of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, who continues to guide humanity towards equality. Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji was a great spiritual messenger and messiah for the poor and backward class people, who gave us direction to lead a moral life. This Prakash Parv is an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to the creation of a society where every person lives with self-respect and dignity, free from discrimination.”
Appeal for guidance from saint society
The Chief Minister said, “I appeal to the Sant Samaj to guide and give suggestions for the worldwide celebrations on the occasion of the 650th Prakash Parv. It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that these celebrations are being celebrated during my tenure. Our government will ensure that these events are celebrated in the most appropriate manner. I appeal to the Sant Samaj to guide us with their suggestions in designing the programmes.”
Yatra and Plantation Program
It has been decided to organize seminars and workshops, special kirtan gatherings, pilgrimages, school wise competitions, documentary shows, drone shows, blood donation camps, tree planting campaigns in the year-long celebrations. It has been decided to hold the main conference in Khuralgarh. The establishment of Guru Ravidas Ji gardens will be done through a campaign to plant an average of 6.50 lakh saplings per district on a total of 650 acres of Panchayat land across Punjab along with marathons, processions, cycle rallies and other programs.

The main function dedicated to the 650th Prakash Parv will include inauguration of the exhibition on the life of Guru Ravidas Ji, Katha and Kirtan Darbar, Sant Sammelan dedicated to the contribution of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, 3D projection in Minar-e-Begampura, drone show, conference on the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji and other programs. On this occasion, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Tarunpreet Singh Saund, Lal Chand Kataruchak and Dr. Ravjot, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Advisor, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Deepak Bali and others were also present.
