After the state level women’s conference held in Dholpur, an important initiative was seen by the Rajasthan government towards economic empowerment of women. After the conference, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Mrs. Diya Kumari had a meaningful dialogue with the powerful women and ‘Lakhpati Didis’ associated with Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council (Rajivika).
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that through self-reliance, entrepreneurship and collective efforts, the women of Rajasthan are today becoming an inspiring example of economic empowerment. He said that the government is continuously working to make women self-reliant by providing self-employment, training and financial assistance.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, while appreciating the efforts of women during the dialogue, said that initiatives like ‘Lakhpati Didi’ are bringing positive changes in the lives of rural women. She said that women are not only increasing their income through self-help groups, but are also becoming an inspiration for other women.
The women associated with Rajivika shared their experiences and told how with the help of training, guidance and government schemes, they moved towards self-employment and became economically empowered. The women expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and expressed expectation of more cooperation in the future.
A positive atmosphere was seen in the program regarding women empowerment, livelihood promotion and rural development. This dialogue is being considered an important step towards the self-reliant future of women in Rajasthan.
