Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh in his address said that ‘Honor Run Marathon’ is not just a sports event, but it is a powerful medium of emotional bonding between the army and citizens of the country. He called upon the youth to take inspiration from the values of the Army—discipline, sacrifice and service.
Former Navy Chief Admiral Madhavendra Singh said that the contribution of every soldier engaged in the defense of the country is invaluable. He described such events as strengthening national unity and civic consciousness.
