Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma inaugurated the newly constructed District Commissioner’s office in Dhemaji.

Assam Dhemaji. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma participated in two programs in Dhemaji district today. The Chief Minister inaugurated the District Commissioner’s office built at a cost of Rs 35 crore in Dhemaji district Sadar and participated in the land patta distribution ceremony in the district by the Revenue Department. Addressing the people, the Chief Minister said that the Assam land problems were a very complex problem, the mountain land was registered on the reservoir land.

When our government came in 2021, we provided land lease to 30 thousand families through Mission Vasundhara 1. 10 lakh families applied for Mission Vasundhara 2.0. Today, 1 lakh 5 thousand people will be given land lease for Assam in which 4050 families of Dhemaji district will be given land lease. Today is a historic day, people from 98 election sessions of Assam are watching this program.

Today, 160372 applications were received in Assam through Vasundhara 3.0, in which land leases of 2213 clubs, music schools, 13637 temples, Namghar and schools were given. There has also been talk of making arrangements to survey and give lease to 769 villages out of 903 non-gestated villages.

The Chief Minister talked about giving lease to everyone in Assam except Bangladeshi Muslims. He also said that we have freed 1.5 lakh bigha land in Assam from eviction and intend to free 5 lakh bigha land in the coming days. In today’s ritual, state government’s Revenue Minister Keshav Mahant, Minister Dr. Ranuj Pegu, MP Pradhan Barua, MLA Bhuvan Pegu, Chakradhar Gogoi, Bolin Chetia, Prashant Phukan, Manav More than 20 thousand people participated in the meeting including Deka.
