Chief Minister Hemant Soren's security will increase during the assembly elections, decision taken after the report of the Union Home Ministry.

Ranchi: In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand, it has been decided to further strengthen the security of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Based on the report of the Union Home Ministry, the Home Department and Police Headquarters have taken this decision. Along with this, SPs of all the districts have been instructed to take necessary action regarding the security of specific persons.

The Union Home Ministry has recently sent a report to the Chief Secretary and DGP of Jharkhand. It has been told that during elections, visits of important leaders, meetings, road shows, rallies and other programs increase. Due to crowd in these programs, some security related points remain unchecked. During this period, there is danger at other points including Naxal areas. Therefore, elaborate security arrangements should be made during the programs.
