Increase in security arrangements of Nitish Kumar
Patna: The security of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been further strengthened. Their security has been tightened based on intelligence received after the recent hijab controversy. According to the information, intelligence agencies have expressed apprehension that some anti-social elements may try to harm the Chief Minister, after which the administration has come into alert mode.
Improve security protocols
The security arrangements of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were reviewed at the level of DGP Bihar and ADG (SSG Security). As a result of this meeting, instructions have been issued to further tighten the security cover of the Special Security Group (SSG). Now only high profile and selected people will be able to reach the Chief Minister. Safety protocols have been further strengthened during their programme, accommodation and mobility.
Tight security arrangements in the districts
SSPs and SPs of all the districts have been ordered to be extra alert. Additional police forces are being deployed and surveillance is being increased especially in sensitive areas. In recent times, the Chief Minister has also received information about threats through social media. Keeping this information in mind, security agencies have expressed apprehension of danger and have upgraded the security arrangements.

According to intelligence agencies, the recent hijab controversy has led to resentment among some radical elements. Therefore, it is feared that the Chief Minister may be targeted. Keeping this situation in mind, monitoring of social media has been intensified and suspicious activities are being closely monitored.
