Reaching Hindu Dham Ashram, CM Yogi paid tribute to Dr. Ramvilas Vedanti Maharaj, said – his entire life was dedicated to Ramkaj.
Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Hindu Dham Ashram in Ayodhya on Tuesday and paid homage to Brahmalin Mahant of Vashishtha Bhawan, Dr. Ramvilas Vedanti Maharaj and remembered his contribution. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Dr. Ramvilas Vedanti Maharaj, a senior member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Abhiyan and Mahant of Vashishtha Bhawan, Ayodhya, is not physically among us today, but his entire life was dedicated to the development of Ayodhya Dham and the construction of the grand temple of Ramlala. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Vedanti Maharaj’s entire life was dedicated to Ramkaj. It is also a coincidence that while reciting the sacred story of Lord Shri Ram, he left his mortal body and took up Saketvaas.

Vedanti Maharaj had active participation in every work related to Lord Shri Ram.
Recalling the contribution of Vedanti Maharaj, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he had the privilege of seeing the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Movement from its initial stages to its concrete form and the successful outcome of the movement. He said that on November 25, Vedanti Ji Maharaj had a dignified presence in the flag hoisting ceremony at the grand temple built at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. This is a clear evidence of their dedication and continuous participation. Chief Minister Yogi said that Vedanti Ji Maharaj played an active role in every movement and program organized since the beginning of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Abhiyan in 1983. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, remembering Vedanti Maharaj, said that even though he is not physically among us today, I have come to Ayodhya to pay humble tribute to him as a resident of Saket and to express condolences to his disciples and ashram residents.
Deep connection with Gorakshpeeth
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Vedanti Maharaj had a very close and intimate relationship with Gorakshpeeth. He told that in the year 1949, at the time of the manifestation of the idol of Lord Shri Ram at the birthplace of Shri Ram in Ayodhya Dham, the then Peethadhishwar of Gorakshpeeth, respected Mahant Shri Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and revered Guru Baba Abhiram Das Ji of Vedanti Ji Maharaj were part of that historic campaign. Chief Minister Yogi further said that in the year 1983, when Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Yagya Committee was formed and his respected Gurudev, Gorakshpeethadhishwar, respected Mahant Shri Avedyanath Ji Maharaj became the President of that committee, since then Dr. Ramvilas Vedanti Ji Maharaj remained continuously associated with this movement as a senior member.

Prayed to Lord Shri Ram to give him a place at his feet.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Vedanti Maharaj was a witness to all the historical programs related to the holy temple of Lord Shri Ram, the foundation stone of the temple on 5 August 2020, the consecration of life on 22 January 2024 and the hoisting of the religious flag on 25 November 2025. It was the result of his life’s devotion and determination that he departed from this world seeing Ramlala seated, the grand temple being built, the divine-magnificent Ayodhya in physical form and singing the story of Ramkatha. The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Shri Ram to grant Vedanti Maharaj a place at his feet. He said that he pays humble tribute to his memories and has full faith that following the ideals of Vedanti Maharaj, the disciples and followers of his ashram will continue to be associated with the campaign of Ramkaj. It is noteworthy that Dr. Ramvilas Vedanti was reciting Ramkatha in Bhathwa village near Lalgaon, Madhya Pradesh. The Katha was scheduled for December 17, but on Saturday night he was brought to Rewa for treatment after complaining of chest pain and nervousness. He passed away on Monday during treatment in a super specialty hospital there.
