**Balconagar, 21 October 2024.* Bharat Aluminum Company Limited (BALCO), a Vedanta Group company, organized a one-day program to promote the health and well-being of senior citizens on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons (IDOP). District Judge Mr. Satyendra Kumar Sahu, Special Judge Mr. Jaideep Garg, Civil Judge Ms. Dimple interacted with the senior citizens present in the program. In collaboration with HelpAge India, the company organized several health awareness sessions for senior citizens. In the mental health session, the psychiatrist explained how to deal with dementia and mental health in old age. To provide important technical information to the elderly, digital literacy workshops and information about balanced and nutritious diet were given. The guests honored ten senior citizens for their significant contributions while appreciating their dedication and service to the society.

The program concluded by developing mutual understanding between senior citizens and children or youth and highlighting the strength and invaluable contribution of the senior community. The camp provided assistive devices to improve mobility and daily living for the elderly members. Physiotherapy services were provided to 33 elderly people using electrotherapy technology. These measures reduced his diseases and improved his health. The company's bi-monthly mobile physiotherapy service is providing relief to the elderly population of the community.
