Friendship between China and India is flourishing, Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage will start again
Rio de Janeiro: India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi have met on the sidelines of the G-20 summit being held in Brazil. During this, both the leaders discussed about Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage. The Indian Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding this meeting.
According to the press release issueddiscussed resumption of Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. Also, discussions were held regarding sharing of data related to rivers passing through the two countries, direct flights between India and China and exchange of media.

According to the press release, both ministers acknowledged that the withdrawal of troops from our border areas has contributed to maintaining peace and stability between the two countries. The Indian External Affairs Minister said that India and China have a good understanding of the global situation and international affairs. There are both differences and similarities. We have worked constructively in BRICS and SCO i.e. Shanghai Cooperation Organization framework. Apart from this, our cooperation in G-20 has also been clear.
India's foreign policy has been principled and consistent
The External Affairs Minister also said that we are fully committed to a multi-polar world including multi-polar Asia. He further said that as far as India is concerned. Its foreign policy has been principled and consistent, characterized by independent thought and action. We are against the unilateral approach of establishing dominance. India does not view its relations from the perspective of other countries.

Let us tell you that after India and China signed an agreement to resolve the border dispute between the two countries, Indian and Chinese armies had completed the withdrawal of forces in Demchok and Depsang last month. Both sides also resumed patrolling activities in both the areas after a gap of almost four and a half years. The Indian Foreign Ministry had said that India and China have reached an agreement regarding patrolling of troops on the Line of Actual Control i.e. LAC. A few days later, there was a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia.
