China’s big statement before BRICS summit, sought cooperation from India
New Delhi. Diplomatic activity has intensified at the international level regarding the BRICS Summit to be held in India this year. Ahead of the conference, China has stressed the need for cooperation with India. China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said that both the countries should work together for the successful organization of this global forum.
It is being told that in the year 2026, the BRICS summit will be organized in India around August or September. After this, China will host this conference in 2027. In such a situation, the message from China to increase coordination with India is considered important.
Emphasis on partnership, not competition
During an annual press conference held in Beijing, Wang Yi said that India and China should see each other not as rivals but as partners. According to him, both the countries need to understand each other as an opportunity instead of a threat. He also said that the direction set by the top leadership of both the countries should be followed to improve bilateral relations.
Conversation increased due to leaders’ meetings
China’s Foreign Minister said that the meetings between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in recent years have opened the way for a new beginning in the relations between the two countries. According to him, in recent times, talks between the two countries have become active again at various levels. New records have also been seen in trade and contact between people has increased, which has brought practical benefits to both the countries.
Cooperation is necessary for the development of Asia
Wang Yi said that India and China are two big countries in Asia and cooperation between the two is important for regional and global development. He believes that mutual trust and cooperation will benefit both countries, while conflict could be detrimental to Asia’s progress. In such a situation, the BRICS summit to be held in India this year is being considered an important opportunity for both the countries to strengthen diplomatic cooperation and global partnership.
