Jiang Xueqin had predicted in his lecture that Donald Trump would return to power in America and tensions between Washington and Tehran could escalate to war. Jiang also made a third prediction in 2024. According to the Daily Mail report, the professor had said that America could lose in the conflict with Iran. In a recent interview with Breaking Points, Jiang reiterated his prediction and said that Iran has “many advantages” over the US.

He said that Iran is increasing its power through its proxy organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah and has been preparing for a possible war with America for a long time. He also said that America’s military strategy is not sustainable in the long run and is just to “show strength”. He said that if America sends ground troops to Iran, it will be the worst situation for it.

He said that America’s army is not ready for the war of the 21st century. The professor further said that if ground troops are sent to Iran, Donald Trump could ask Congress for permission to use emergency war powers, which could potentially give him a third term.
