Opening ceremony of IPL 2026 will be held at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
It is also coming out in media reports that the opening ceremony of IPL 2026 will also be held at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Since Royal Challengers Bangalore is the defending champion, as per the rules the first match will also be played in Bangalore. Not only this, it is also being told in the reports that the semi-finals and final of IPL 2026 will also be played on this ground.
RCB will play 5 matches in Chinnaswamy Stadium
In IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore will play a total of 5 matches at its home ground at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Whereas ICB will play its 2nd home match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. ICB home matches will be played in this stadium. That means M Chinnaswamy Stadium is once again ready to host IPL.

IPL 2026 schedule yet to be announced
Last year, ICB won the title by defeating Punjab Kings in the final. This was RCB’s first trophy in the last 18 years. Now this time the Royal Challengers Bangalore team would like to defend the title. The schedule of IPL 2026 has not been announced yet. It is expected that BCCI will announce the schedule of IPL 2026 as soon as the T20 World Cup 2026 ends. All the teams are busy preparing for the upcoming season.
