Chiraiya Web Series: Siddharth Shaw reveals why Pooja picked up the blade on honeymoon in web series Chiraiya

Chiraiya Web Series: There was a scene in the recently released web series Chiraiya which gave goosebumps to people and every woman shivered. This scene was of Pooja and Arun’s honeymoon. For your information, let us tell you that after marriage, both the couples go to Manali on honeymoon and something happens there which you would not have even imagined in your dreams. In the Chiraiya web series, the role of Arun was played by Siddharth, while the role of Pooja was played by Prasanna. Arun told in one of his interviews what happened that Pooja had to cut her private parts with a blade. The director had explained to him.

What was explained?

Siddharth said that the brief that was given to him was that when the marriage took place, Bhaiya and Bhabhi’s room was in front of us, hence the things that Arun had in his mind regarding the wedding night could not happen and there are a lot of people at home, a function is also going on downstairs, so when you go on honeymoon, there is time to fulfill your fantasy because at that time no one is nearby. You are on honeymoon and have come to do the same.

What was going on in Siddharth’s mind?

When Siddharth was asked what was going on in his mind regarding the blade scene, he told that if I had been Siddharth at that time, I would not have been able to do all that, but I was Arun, so only sex was roaming in my mind, even if Pooja had come out of the bathroom and she was having periods, Arun would have done all that because my thinking at that point was the same, I was so lustful.

Prasanna told her story?

When Prasanna was asked what was in her mind at that time, she said that I was blank then and I am blank even now. I had a very scared feeling which I cannot explain.

Chiraiya is a 6-episode webseries in which light has been thrown on the issue of coercion and rape of women. It stars Divya Dutta who is less educated and has played the role of Kamlesh alias sister-in-law.
