According to a timesofindia.com report, CID 2 is scheduled to go into production around November 15, 2024. It is being said that makers are targeting a Christmas or New Year launch for the second season. However, there is no official confirmation about the same so far.
CID season 2 will bring back iconic characters, including Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Sr Inspector Daya and Aditya Srivastava as Sr Inspector Abhijeet. Fans will undoubtedly miss Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks following his tragic passing in 2023. For the unversed, the 57-year-old actor passed away in a private hospital in Mumbai last December. He breathed his last due to multiple organ failure.
