Desk: CID has started investigation into the case of fake withdrawal of Rs 13 crore in ITDA in Pakur. A four-member CID team reached Pakur on Thursday and interrogated two members from Nazarat and two from the ITDA project director.

The CID team led by DSP Ravindra Kumar Singh reached Pakur and all the documents, files and financial transactions related to the scam are being closely investigated. The CID team is investigating the case of illegal withdrawal of Rs 12 crore 38 lakh 66 thousand 600 from the bank account of Pakur District Welfare Office through fake advice.

Intensive interrogation of welfare officer and Nazir for several hours
During the investigation, the District Welfare Officer and Nazir were interrogated intensively for several hours. If sources are to be believed, during the interrogation many important questions were asked regarding bank transactions, documents related to payment and utilization of funds. CID is also investigating under which items the amount was withdrawn and whether it was actually utilized or not.
Strict action will be taken against the culprit
CID officials clearly say that whoever is found guilty in this case, strict action will be taken against him. The scope of investigation is being continuously expanded and there is a possibility of questioning more officers and employees in the coming days. At present, there is a stir in the Welfare Department after this action.
