Carrot Sooji Halwa

Material

  • Rice – 2 tbsp (30 grams)
  • Milk – 1/2 litre, full cream
  • Cardamom – 4
  • Almonds – almonds – 1 tablespoon
  • Cashews – Cashews – 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut – 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Chironji – 1 teaspoon
  • Raisins – 1 tablespoon
  • Malai – Fresh Malai – 3 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup (50 grams)

Making process

  • Wash 2 tablespoons of rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20-25 minutes. Then soak the cooker with water and add 1/2 liter of milk to it and cook on high flame till it boils.
  • Meanwhile, peel 4 small cardamoms and grate them. – When the milk boils, reduce the flame and remove the water and add the soaked rice.
  • Then add 1 tbsp chopped almonds, 1 tbsp chopped cashews, 1 tbsp chopped coconut, 1 tbsp chironji, 1 tbsp raisins and coarsely crushed cardamom.
  • Stir them and add 3 teaspoons of cream to it. Now close the cooker and cook on high flame till one whistle comes. After one whistle, reduce the flame and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Then turn off the flame and let the cooker cool down. When the cooker cools down, open it and add 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Reduce the heat and cook it on the flame till the sugar dissolves completely. When the sugar dissolves, turn off the flame and let it cool.
  • In this way rice kheer is ready, serve it and enjoy its taste.
