Debut at the age of 16 but the career of this legendary cricketer was surrounded by controversies

New Delhi, September 23 (IANS). Anger is such an evil that it negates the value of all good qualities. It is like shooting yourself in the foot. If you don't believe it, take a look at Ambati Rayudu's cricket career. Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu is celebrating his 39th birthday today. This batsman made his debut at the age of 16 but his innings did not last long and the reason for this is his anger.

Delay in debut, differences with the team, conflict with BCCI and heated arguments with players. Every time his anger became his biggest weakness. The situation was such that he remained in the headlines more because of his anger than his game. However, with time his mood changed to a great extent. After this, he had a memorable journey with Team India as well as his IPL team first Mumbai and then Chennai Super Kings.

He was a perfect contender for the number four position for India for a long time. Before the 2019 ODI World Cup, Rayudu was an important player for Team India. But he was not selected in the World Cup, after which the main controversies of his career arose and his international cricket journey came to an end.

One thing is also said for Rayudu that if his career had been longer, he would have been counted among the legends like Dhoni and Virat today. This cricketer, angry at not being selected for the World Cup, made many such posts on social media which raised questions on BCCI. During this time, he also announced retirement but later he changed his decision.

If we talk about Rayudu's international career, he scored a total of 1694 runs in 55 ODIs with the help of 3 centuries and 10 half-centuries, while he scored 42 runs in five innings of 6 T20 matches. In the IPL, he played for Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. In which he has a total of 4,348 runs in 204 matches.
