The Uttar Pradesh government is also running a similar scheme for poor children, which works to connect them with education and for this the government helps them.

The Uttar Pradesh government is running the Shramik Vidya Yojana to help poor children, under which such children are given financial assistance every month. Under this scheme, poor boys are given Rs 1000 per month and poor girls are given Rs 1200 per month. The scheme is specifically aimed at those children who are orphans or are so financially weak that they cannot go to school.

Only those poor children can take advantage of this scheme whose one or both parents have died. Apart from this, children whose parents are permanently disabled will also be given help under this scheme. This scheme also includes those children whose parents are suffering from serious illness. However, they should not have any kind of land.

To avail the benefits of this scheme, you can contact your nearest Gram Panchayat Officer. You can also apply online. To apply for the scheme, you will also have to provide some documents, which include documents like family income, Aadhaar card, passport size photo and residence certificate. If there are children around you who are unable to go to school and are earning their livelihood by doing labour, then you can tell them about this scheme of the UP government. You can also get them registered under this scheme.
