But his plea was rejected. At the same time, a lookout notice has been issued against the actor after he went missing. This decision against Siddiqui has come under the ongoing special investigation by the SIT formed to address incidents of sexual harassment within the film industry. An FIR has been registered in Thiruvananthapuram in this case.

Recently, when many revelations were made in Malayalam cinema under the Hema Committee report, famous actors, producers and directors of the industry also came under investigation. Under this committee, an actress had accused Siddiqui of sexually harassing an actress in a hotel in Muscat in January 2016. When Siddiqui denied the allegations against him, the victim actress publicly said, “I had just completed my Plus Two when he contacted me through social media. I thought it was a fake account, but later I came to know that it was his real account. The preview show of his film Sukhamayrikkatte was over, then he called me to a hotel in Muscat for a discussion. At the time when all this happened, I was 21 years old.”
