Government has issued a big danger alert for Google Chrome users, do these things immediately to be safe.

Tech News Desk – Users using Google Chrome are facing a big threat, in view of which the Government of India has issued an advisory for Google Chrome users. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a cyber security agency under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has found several vulnerabilities in Google Chrome. According to the advisory, by exploiting these vulnerabilities, remote attackers could execute arbitrary code on the target system. These flaws (CIVN-2024-0311) have been marked with a high severity warning. “Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome that could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a target system and crash the application,” the advisory said.

The agency also revealed which Chrome versions are affected by this vulnerability. list below See..

Attackers can gain control of the system
The agency says these vulnerabilities in Google Chrome exist due to type confusion in V8, use after free in Dawn, integer overflow in Skia, and improper implementation in V8. A remote attacker could take advantage of these vulnerabilities by sending a specially crafted request to the target system. By taking advantage of these flaws, an attacker can execute arbitrary code on the target system and crash the application.

Do this immediately to be safe
Google has released an updated stable channel for Windows, 129.0.6668.70/.71 for Mac, and 129.0.6668.70 for Linux. The agency has advised users to apply these latest updates of Chrome on their devices to stay safe.
