Toll tax will hit people's pockets from October 1, know how expensive it will be to travel on Yamuna Expressway now.

Due to this, vehicles passing through Yamuna Expressway will have to pay higher prices. Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced new toll rates for vehicles passing through the 165 km long route. This toll tax has been increased by 12 percent.

Yamuna Expressway fare increased
YEIDA has announced new toll rates for all types of vehicles. According to the new rates, light vehicles, cars and jeeps will have to pay Rs 2.95 per kilometer when passing through Yamuna Expressway. Earlier, toll tax of Rs 2.60 per kilometer was levied on these vehicles. Earlier, toll tax on two-wheelers was Rs 1.25 per kilometer. Now from October 1, there will be a tax of Rs 1.50 per kilometer on two-wheelers. Yamuna Expressway is one of the few expressways in India where toll tax is imposed even on two-wheelers.

How much toll tax will have to be paid when going from Noida to Agra?
If you travel by car or jeep on Yamuna Expressway, the one-way fare will be around Rs 500. Whereas for two-wheelers this fare can be around Rs 250. On the increase in toll tax of Yamuna Expressway, YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said that Jaypee Infratech Limited, which is the toll operator of this expressway, was demanding increase in toll tax from the year 2021-22. But keeping in mind the benefit of the general public, we were refusing them again and again. Arun Veer Singh further said that there was no increase in toll fee for the last three years. But if seen, the current increase of 12 percent has been increased by an average of 4 percent every year.
